- Halo Infinite Season 2 roadmap released - Season two of Halo Infinite has been detailed with a content roadmap slide. The season will also last for six months. The update will include new maps, new battle pass items, and a co-op network campaign. (Source)
- Ubisoft is preparing itself for a potential buyout - Kotaku and Bloomberg have reported that Blackstone and KKR & Co., two of the biggest private equity firms globally, have been studying the 'French Business' as the reports put it. Kotaku reports its sources to claim that Ubisoft has been auditing and cleaning up its accounts for a potential sale. (Source)
- Splatoon 3 is due out on September 9th - Nintendo released a new trailer showing off gameplay from the recent Splatoon 3 game. They ended the trailer with the announcement of the September 9th, 2022 release date. (Source)
- Playstation rolls out Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) - New patches incoming for a wide variety of games will enable VRR on the PlayStation 5. (Source)
- Sony creates Game Preservation Division - A developer named @SomeCronzaGuy on Twitter has announced that they are the first hire for PlayStation's newly created Game Preservation Team. (Source)
- Sony enforces Timed-Game Trials for their Developers - Game Developers will now be required to make a custom Time-limited trial of their game if their game is over USD 34. (Source)
