🕹️ The Console War Rages On
- In a strange twist of fate, the Electronic Entertainment Expo - E3, has been cancelled. The confirmation was handed down by the ESA after rumors broke across the web via Twitter user @WillJPowers, who received an email stating the expo was cancelled. This was later confirmed. ESA announced that E3 would return both in a physical and digital showcase for 2023. They also stated it would return in "... an all-new form and interactive experience." The organization has stated the cancellation was to "focus on its resources".
- Sony's Playstation Now and PlayStation Plus is now one product with multiple tiers. Existing PlayStation Plus users will be converted to the PlayStation Plus Essential tier which is the base PlayStation Plus subscription. Plus Extra adds upwards of 400 most popular PS4 and PS5 games made available for download. Plus Premium will add an additional 340 games made available from the PS3 era via cloud streaming. This tier will also include access to streaming games from other tiers. Time-limited trails are also included. (Source)
- Chrono Cross, part of the legendary Chrono Series which has Chrono Trigger in it, is set for release next week. It has been reported that a physical copy of Chrono Cross will release only in Asia with English support. (Source)
- The President of Polyphony Digital, the creators of Gran Turismo - Kazunori Yamauchi, issued an apology about the recent issues and controversies surrounding the release and patches of GT7. He outlined several changes to the credit system, the rewards. These have since been accepted by the community. He further stated that the game will see more balance changes in the future. (Source)
- Rockstar Games has introduced a new subscription service for GTAV, gta+. The new subscription service sees users shelling out $6 US a month for additional in-game currency, the ability to relocate your garage for tuners game play, removal of membership fees of in-game groups, upgrades to Yachts, additional wardrobes, and a selection of free paints and emblems for the auto shop. - Microsoft has launched a new publishing division which focuses on 'cloud-native' video games. The division is set to bring these new games exclusively to the Xbox ecosystem. 'Cloud-native' games use the cloud to do in-game processing on several of the game's own systems, from the physics, environment details, and AI. Kim Swift, the lead for the publishing arm, has compared this to Netflix's move from mail-in discs to streaming. (Source)
- Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is set for release in October, 2022. This marks the first time the show will be lead by a female protagonist. (Source)
- ASUS is set to reduce their MSRP for all their graphics cards. This comes as the recent trend of GPU prices continues downward. (Source)
- Epic Games has indicated that the no-build mode released a few weeks back, has a new home in the No-build Battle Royale mode. (Source)
- Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has been delayed. Nintendo announced this on their Twitter with series producer Eiji Aonuma speaking on the challenges faced, new game play elements, and their desire to ensure the game is fully ready on day one. The game has been delayed to Spring 2023. (Source)

🎮 Where's My Controller?
- I have continued to play Ghostwire Tokyo. This game has so much to do, it doesn't feel stressful to play. I am glad the developers really focused on a fun rather than punishing experience. I also love being able to walk in between houses and seeing everyone's lawn, and trees, and these little embellishments.

- I do want to write a piece on Ghostwire Tokyo. I think the game is great, though it does lack in some places.
- My Cyberpunk 2077 piece is taking much longer since I haven't found the energy to actually continue writing it.
